Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor - Martyr has just released its latest DLC, which brings a new class hailing from a background in the famous Adeptus Sororitas. Warhammer 40K fans have long hoped to see the Sisters of Battle become playable in Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor, and the class has brought a collection of new weapons and mechanics to shake up gameplay.
Neocore Games' Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor - Martyr has come quite a way since it was originally released, with a steady stream of major updates and DLC content that have improved and expanded upon the game in a number of ways. Featuring Diablo-like action RPG combat and character progression, the game places players in the bloodied boots of the Imperium of Man's notorious Inquisitors, powerful individuals who are entrusted immense resources and tasked with investigating heretical and alien activity throughout the Imperium. With a variety of unique classes, loads of different weapons, and a surprisingly deep character-build system, Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor offers lots of freedom when it comes to how players tackle its content.
Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor - Martyr's Sororitas DLC has added further depth to gameplay thanks to an all-new class with its own unique mechanics, resources, and weapons at its disposal. As a hybrid class, the Sister of Battle occupies a middle ground between the Crusader and the Assassin. While not as tanky as the Crusader, nor as nimble as the Assassin, the Sister of Battle comes in three distinct subclasses depending on equipped armor. Her abilities are Acts of Faith which have passive bonuses while equipped along with the active effects of each ability, and her Embodied Saint transformation gives her access to a powerful set of abilities.
The Sister of Battle's unique Banner gadget allows her to place static banners on the ground which offer both passive benefits to those standing near it, and immediate effects upon activation. Many of the new weapons and weapon combinations such as the Hand Flamer and Rod of Faith, Bolt Pistol and Chainsword, and Plasma Pistol and Blessed Blade emphasize her hybrid nature by providing both melee and ranged capabilities. The Sister has plenty of deadly methods at her disposal as she fights for Warhammer 40K's Imperium. The DLC has also come with an update that fixes a variety of bugs and prepares the game for its next round of seasonal content.
Warhammer 40K fans have a lot to be excited about thanks to the Sororitas DLC accompanied by the upcoming Warhammer 40K: Darktide release on November 30. In addition, fans can also look forward to Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader coming to PC sometime in 2023.
